Safety takes a team
PlaySafe Together connects families. It does not supervise children, and it is not a childcare service — the parents hosting and attending stay in charge, exactly as with any playdate.
What "verified" means — and doesn't
Verification means one specific thing: the parent redeemed a valid invite code for your school community, or was invited into a verified family by the adult who did. We do not run background checks, verify identity documents, inspect homes, or certify anyone's character or fitness — and we don't claim to. Verification confirms community membership, nothing more. Use the same judgment you would with any new family.
Hosts approve everyone
Hosts approve or decline every join request — per child, so a host can say yes to one sibling and not another — or choose auto-accept when they post. Event listings show only the neighborhood or street name. An event's exact address is revealed only to attendees the host has approved.
Families vouch for their own adults
The adult who founds a family confirms that each adult they invite is 18 or over and a parent or guardian of the family's children. If someone leaves a family — or the founder removes them — their family-based verification ends immediately.
Message boards, kept practical
Every event has a message board for practical questions: parking, drop-off, what to bring. The board refuses posts containing phone numbers, addresses, or links — private details travel through the sign-up note (visible to the host) and, once you're approved, the host's phone number. Hosts can pin, hide, or close a board and block an author who misuses it.
Reporting — and emergencies
Report and block tools are in the app, and accounts that violate our conduct rules are removed. In an emergency, always call 911 — in-app reports are not monitored around the clock.
