PlaySafe Together

For schools & districts

PlaySafe Together is designed so a school shares no student data at all. Each family gets a single-use verification code tied to a parent or guardian email, issued by the school through the admin portal — a redeemed code confirms the family belongs to your community, and the school confirms nothing about any child.

How a pilot works

  1. We set up your school community and give your front office access to the admin portal, protected by an emailed sign-in code.
  2. Your staff issue verification codes from the portal — one per family, each tied to that family's email address.
  3. A parent redeems the code in the app. That founds their family; the other adults in the household join under it, with no extra codes to manage.
  4. Families post and join sessions in your school community. Your school can also post school events — assemblies, reading nights, study halls — from the same portal.

What your school never shares — and never receives

Schools do not send us rosters, student records, or any information about any child. A verification code confirms community membership only; it says nothing about a child, and it is not a background check of anyone. Your school also receives no personal information about your families from us.

The agreement

We sign the Utah Student Data Privacy agreement (the Utah SDPC National Data Privacy Agreement) before any pilot. We sell no data, and we run no advertising.

Not a school? Sponsor your families

PlaySafe Together is built for schools first — school communities are our focus. Registered organizations such as churches, youth organizations, and nonprofits can also sponsor their families: an approved organization hosts a PlaySafe community of its own and issues verification codes to the families it serves, the same way a school issues invite codes.

We are building a short application process for organizations. The organization tells us its legal name, registration details, and a contact person; we confirm the organization is real and registered and agree on simple terms; then the organization receives its verification codes to hand to its families. Until the application opens, organizations can reach us at schools@playsafetogether.com.

One thing a verification code is — and is not. A code verifies that a family received a code from that organization, confirming community membership. It is verification, not validation: neither PlaySafe Together nor the organization background-checks or certifies any parent, and a code says nothing about anyone's character or fitness.
